Sexual Health among Older Adults in China : A Multi-disciplinary Study

Remarkable advances in medicine bring about larger numbers of older adults, defined in this application as 50 years and older. Sexual health is an increasingly important topic in this aging population, but our conventional approaches shy away from the topic. Our team has a rich experience in behavioural science, sociology, medicine, and public health. We propose the following specific aims:1) Understand the status of sexual health and wellbeing among older adults. 2) Determine preferences for sexual health services among older adults. 3) Identify high-quality messages to promote the uptake of inclusive sexual health services among older adults. 4) Create policy recommendations about how to make sexual health services more adaptive to the needs and preferences of older adults.
