The Healthy Longevity Global Competition is founded by U.S. National Academy of Medicine (NAM), together with global collaborators in nearly 50 countries and territories. The Global Competition aims to catalyze new ideas and innovations to address the global aging challenge.
Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS), one of the global collaborators and the leading medical research facility in China, is making great efforts to integrate Healthy Longevity into Healthy China 2030 and contribute Chinese wisdom and actions to universal good health and well-being. CAMS has launched the Catalyst Awards nationwide in China, calling for catalyzing innovative ideas, strategies, technologies, and products to advance healthy aging and longevity with global collaborators.
  • Catalyst Phase

    The Catalyst Awards will reward bold, innovative ideas that could extend the human health span through disease prevention, mobility, functionality, social connectedness, longevity, and more. Approximately 450 awards worth $50,000 USD each will be given out over 3 years from 2020 to 2022. CAMS will award a total of 90 winners nationwide through three consecutive rounds of China Healthy Longevity Catalyst Awards with ¥400,000 Yuan funded for each winners.

  • Accelerator Phase

    Accelerator Awards will provide awards worth $500,000 USD or more to meritorious awardees who have demonstrated significant progress and achieved proof of concept. Winners of Catalyst Awards will be well positioned for Accelerator funding.The Accelerator phase is expected to begin in 2021.

  • Grand Prize

    The Grand Prize will serve as the capstone of the competition by rewarding the achievement of a bold and transformative innovation. One or more grand prize(s) of up to $5 million USD will be awarded for achievement of a breakthrough innovation that extends the human health span. Winners of Accelerator Awards will be well positioned for the prize. The Grand Prize phase is expected to begin in 2023.
